We are learning lots of maths games to help us with our counting, subitizing, making groups, adding up to 10 and how to balance Cuisenaire rods to build a structure. Playing games together means we are practising and developing our new maths skills. Some of us have learnt a new skill and we didn’t even realise it until Miss Woodcock pointed it out.

We are also learning how to work together in groups. It isn’t always easy having to share the games but we are getting very good at it and are finding it a lot more fun to play with a friend or three.
Some of us are becoming great leaders and helpers to our classmates.

We are also learning to make our own choices - Miss Woodcock puts up a list of activities and we get to choose which ones we want to do.
