## Maths breakfast club

Instant recall or subitizing of basic facts is our ultimate goal, this is where we are able to see the answer in our heads the instant we see the question.

## Super Subitising

What is subitising? Subitising the ability to recognise the number of objects in a small group without the need to count them.

## Maths time in Room 15

Room 15 have been making, recognising, ordering numbers to 20, counting forwards and backwards to 20, saying the number before and after to 20, skip counting in 2,5,10, recognising number bonds for 10 and solving addition and subtraction problems using materials.

## What maths looks like in Aratiatia Community

Our teachers facilitate maths workshops and give us a chance to take the lead in these, using ‘Talk Moves’

## Art and Maths in Room 13

In our class, we looked at some famous art forms of Kandinsky’s known as Kandinsky Circles.

## T.K.

T.K was experimenting with our new maths equipment (straws that can be connected to create shapes).

## Room 13 Take Over

We had all chosen activities that help us towards our next maths learning goals such as practising skip counting in 2s, subitizing, addition or putting numbers in order forwards and backwards.

## Time Capsules

As a way to measure our growth, both physical and learning, we have been creating pieces of work to put into a time capsule.
