VLN online induction

Our Virtual Learning Network (VLN) class had our induction session with Rachel Whalley, ePrincipal of VLN Primary.

It was great to meet her and learn about all the things we can expect from our online classes. We looked at the Zoom software we will use, what the buttons do, and what an online class looks like. We need to use Zoom because our eTeachers and fellow students could be from anywhere in New Zealand. When Mrs Graham taught Japanese last year, she had students from Great Barrier Island and the Catlins in the South Island.

We have chosen subjects that include Te Reo Maori, Korean, Spanish, French, Japanese, Astronomy and Computer Programming. Students from Years 4, 5, & 6 have been invited to join the classes. We look forward to getting started and sharing our new skills with you.
