Kia ora, I am currently teaching and learning with a wonderful Year Four class (in Room Four). Room Four is part of the middle school recently named Ohaaki.
My husband, two teenage sons and I moved to Wairakei Village eight years ago. We love the small community and peace and quiet that village life offers.
I began teaching here at Wairakei Primary School in 2014 and I am so glad to be part of this positive and supportive school Community.
My belief is that I am in the teaching profession with an obligation and passionate desire to make a positive difference in my students’ lives. To achieve this my focus is always on establishing genuine relationships that celebrate cultural diversity and nurtures the self esteem of individuals. Quality learning takes place when students feel safe and respected.
The principal goal of Education is to create men/women who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generations have done.
