Janice Braddock

I have been a teacher’s aide for 17 years. In the two years, I have been at Wairakei Primary School,  I have worked in the Senior and Middle school.

My family came to New Zealand in 1969 from Scotland and we moved to Taupo in 1970. I am married to David and we have three daughters and two grandchildren.

I have been very involved in the Taupo community. I was a Girl Guide leader for 16 years. I followed our children through from Kindergarten to High school serving on Kindy Committees to Board of Trustees.

I have a very nurturing nature which has helped me to relate to some very special students in the schools that I have worked in. As new immigrants my parents had no idea how to get me into teachers college to be a teacher. It would have been a dream come true to be a teacher, as I love being and working with children.
