Antarctica Inquiry

Room 1 has been dressing up warm, putting our thick shoes on and heading down to Antarctica. We have been learning about Antarctica, and how people and animals stay warm in the freezing cold.

We spent some time looking at how insulators worked, and how they keep heat in and cold out.

We looked at the different materials that can be used as insulators, and created different containers made of either polystyrene, cardboard, glad-wrap and tin foil.

Josef said I learned Antarctica has the lowest temperature on Earth.

Pania thought It was really cool. It was cool to find out about the animals and how they survive there.
