Give Me Some Space

On 19 May at 1.00 pm there was a simultaneous reading event with schools around New Zealand and Australia of the book Give Me Some Space written by Philip Bunting.

This book is about one girl's mission to find life in space which leads to an out-of-this-world adventure perfect for the astronaut-in-training in your life. Una loves imagining a life in space. Life on Earth is just so-so. But how will she get there? Can she complete her mission to discover life in space?

The book was read by  astronaut Dr Shannon Walker from the International Space Station.

We had a few students come to listen to Dr Walker.   It was amazing watching her in the Space Station with zero gravity and listening to her read the story.   Maybe this is how she started wanting to be an astronaut.
