Wairakei Primary School had a Tabloid Sport Day. Students were divided into their wharenui nga tae groups and the Manukura took a lead role in the afternoon.
The aim of this event was for students to build relationships across year levels, through participating in activities together.
Students participated in a range of activities including Jump Jam, hide ‘n’ seek, parachute play, tug of war, rob the nest, and gaga ball. These activities required the students to work together to achieve success.
Using the parachute was fun because I could help other people. Credynse
I enjoyed playing hide ‘n’ seek in the gully with the other students. It was fun because we got to do lots of cool activities with our house - May
I liked it when we had a challenge with Mrs Jackson and the parachute to make our ball bounce higher than the other team. We had to work together as a team to succeed - Stanley
